Contract Summaries[]

Shinobi's Contracts affect his playstyle significantly, as they change the behavior of his Dragon Skills and non-Dragon Skills. Behavior that is affected include air jumps, Dragon Dash, Shuriken counts, and more hidden values, such as Dragon Meteor Damage Scaling.

Icon Element PoisonPoison Contract[]

Icon Quest Notification"Mobility is increased, normal power."

Icon Element PoisonPoison Contract is Shinobi's default Contract. It is a well-rounded contract with no particular upsides nor downsides. Essentially, it can be used for hybrid builds that rely on both Physical attacks and Dragon Skills.

  • This contract’s Homing Shuriken and other Dragon Skills can inflict enemies with the Icon Status Ailment PoisonPoison status ailment, which gradually drains enemies’ Health Points. Some enemies are particularly weak to Icon Status Ailment PoisonPoison.
  • Its Dragon Dash has the second-farthest distance and the fastest speed out of all the contracts, and it can be activated 2 times in midair.
  • It has the second-highest damage for the Homing Giant Shuriken.
  • Aside from the Icon Element FireFire contract, it has the lowest maximum hit criteria for the damage scaling of Dragon Meteor (21 hits), but it has the second-highest minimum power for Dragon Meteor.

Icon Element FireFire Contract[]

Icon Quest Notification"High DP consumption, but high power and long lock-on time."

Icon Element FireFire Contract is Shinobi's second available Contract, added in Version 2.0.0. Due to its long lock-on time and potential to Icon Status Ailment BurnBurn enemies, it is highly specialized for Physical attacks.

  • This contract has the longest lock-on time (7.9 seconds) among all the Contracts, allowing you to perform 5 Midair Lock-on Slashes (Spins) with 1 Dragon Dash. However, you can perform only 1 Dragon Dash.
    • To take the most advantage out of this contract, focus on properly positioning your Proximity Spins, which will suspend yourself in midair until the lock-on time runs out.
  • This contract is the only one that has no damage scaling for Dragon Meteor, but it has the highest base damage for Dragon Meteor among all the contracts.

Icon Element WindWind Contract[]

Icon Quest Notification"Increased mobility and attack number, lowered power."

Icon Element WindWind Contract is Shinobi's third available Contract, added in Version 2.1.0. It is focused on high mobility, the performance of multiple simultaneous Dragon Kicks, and highly efficient Homing Shuriken.

  • For all attack types, the overall attack power is low, but the overall DP consumption is also low, so you can perform multiple Dragon Skills consecutively without worrying too much about maintaining DP.
  • This contract has the highest number of Dragon Dashes allowed in midair (4 Dragon Dashes). Although the Dragon Dash distance is the shortest, it is easy to maneuver and change directions in midair, allowing you to lengthen your air time.
  • This contract allows you to throw 8 Homing Shuriken (the highest of all contracts) for the cost of only 0.2 DP segments (the lowest of all contracts).
    • You can shoot up to about 11 times (2.2 DP segments) during a single lock-on duration.
  • This contract has a special Dragon Kick that throws out 8 Homing Shuriken during the kick, and it can be performed instantaneously in the air.
    • You can use your Double Jump to perform another Dragon Kick immediately after the first one. Landing allows you to reset the Double Jump limit.
    • This contract's Dragon Kick, as with the other contracts, also affect additional enemies within the Dragon Kick’s direct hit, not just the one that is locked-onto. You can sweep out multiple enemies at once by efficiently positioning your simultaneous Dragon Kicks.

Icon Element ThunderThunder Contract[]

Icon Quest Notification"Specialized in fighting groups. Capable of multiple lock-ons."

Icon Element ThunderThunder Contract is Shinobi's fourth available Contract, added in Version 2.2.0. Although it does not literally grant multiple lock-ons, all Dragon Skill abilities (except for Dragon Meteor) attack all enemies on the screen at the same time, making the contract effective for crowd control at the cost of high DP consumption.

  • This contract has the highest amount of air jumps (3 jumps). However, the Dragon Dash cannot be angled upward.
  • Throwing out Homing Shuriken attacks all enemies on the screen. The damage of the Homing Shuriken does not change depending on the number of additional targets.
  • Dragon Kick also attacks all enemies on screen at once. Also, the Dragon Kick can be performed instantaneously. This attack costs 2 DP segments.
    • Based on the amount of additional targets on-screen, the Dragon Kick damage changes for each additional target (the locked-on target always gets hit with the maximum power).
    • The direct hitbox damage is the same as hitting 1 target (AKA the maximum power). Therefore, you can do a double-hit with the Dragon Kick by locking onto one target and aiming the direct hit at another.
Dragon Kick Damage based on Total Target Count
Targets Motion Value Formula
1 PIE * 21.00
2 PIE * 16.80
3 PIE * 15.75
4 PIE * 14.70
5 PIE * 13.65
6+ PIE * 13.12

Icon Element IceIce Contract[]

Icon Quest Notification"Atk. increased, def. decreased. Meteor power limits removed."

Icon Element IceIce Contract is Shinobi's fifth available Contract, added in Version 2.3.0. This is a high risk, high reward contract, requiring long and risky preparation of the Dragon Meteor to perform extremely powerful one-hit-kill attacks. It can be useful at many points throughout the progression, but it is difficult to master due to an increased vulnerability and reliance on Holy attacks.

  • This contract's Dragon Dash does not have I-frames, making you vulnerable to attacks when Dragon Dashing. However, you still have I-frames during the somersault animation when first locking-onto a target.
    • You can tell that your Dragon Dash has no I-frames due to the different sound effect and aura around Shinobi while using Dragon Dash.
  • This contract has the highest damage scaling for Dragon Meteor among all the contracts.
