Physical Attacks & Evasive Maneuvers[]

Icon Weapon Kunai (N)Kunai VS. Icon Weapon Shuriken (N)Shuriken[]

Shinobi is equipped with both a Icon Weapon Kunai (N)Kunai and a Icon Weapon Shuriken (N)Shuriken at the same time. The STR, AGI, INT, VIT, LUC, and PIE stats of the 2 weapons stack together.

Icon Weapon Kunai (N)Kunai[]

Icon Weapon Kunai (N)Kunai are available starting from Level 1. Kunai basic attacks on the ground can do a 3-hit combo. Midair attacks can do a 2-hit combo. While sliding down a wall, Shinobi can do a single slash.

Icon Weapon Shuriken (N)Shuriken[]

Icon Weapon Shuriken (N)Shuriken are available starting from Level 1. Shuriken can be thrown while moving, but they consume DP.

  • The number of Shuriken thrown changes depending on the Elemental Contract.
  • Giant Shuriken can be thrown up or down before they come back towards Shinobi, but they also consume DP.
    • If Shinobi avoids catching the Giant Shuriken, it will loop around him multiple times until it disappears.
    • Giant Shuriken pierce through enemies, making them great for crowd control.
    • The damage of Giant Shuriken and the amount that can be thrown depend on the Elemental Contract.

Double Jump[]

Double Jump allows Shinobi to gain additional jumps in the air, letting him reach higher places or avoid attacks.

  • Icon Element PoisonPoison, Icon Element WindWind, and Icon Element IceIce Contracts give only 1 additional jump.
  • Icon Element FireFire Contract gives 2 additional jumps.
  • Icon Element ThunderThunder Contract gives 3 additional jumps.

Dragon Wing[]

Shinobi can spread his Dragon Wings, allowing him to glide in the air. While gliding, his fall speed is reduced, but he still maintains his running speed from the ground.

  • In some stages, there is a giant tornado that floats Shinobi upward when gliding.

Wall Jump[]

Wall Jump is an exclusive ability that allows Shinobi to slide on walls, reducing his fall speed, and also jump off walls multiple times, making him able to reach places that other characters can't.

  • Not all walls are climbable, such as certain ice walls.

Lock-on Status & Dragon Skills[]

By using Dragon Dash on an enemy, Shinobi will lock onto the enemy for about 5 seconds (7.9 seconds for Icon Element FireFire Contract). Any attack performed will hit the enemy that is locked onto.

Dragon Dash[]

Dragon Dash is an ability that launches Shinobi forward, diagonally upward or downward. It can be used on the ground or in the air, and it typically has invincibility frames ("I-frames"). If it hits an enemy or related object, Shinobi will do a 2-hit somersault attack, which also has I-frames,and initiate Lock-on Status. This ability costs DP.

  • Icon Element ThunderThunder Contract Dragon Dash cannot be angled upward.
  • Icon Element IceIce Contract Dragon Dash does not have I-frames, except for the somersault.
  • The startup speeds, launch distances, and the amount that Shinobi can dash in the air depend on the Elemental Contract.

Midair Lock-on Slash and "Spins"[]

While locked on, Shinobi can perform a 3rd midair slash, follow led by a spinning move (or "Spin"), which deals multiple hits.

  • When doing Spins, the hitbox of the attack is still present. This means that any enemies near your hitbox (including the enemy you locked onto) will get damaged.
  • You can do Spins near the same enemy or another enemy, and it will still deal damage to them as long as they are within your Spin hitbox.
    • When hitting the same enemy, you basically deal double damage to that enemy.
    • When hitting a different enemy, your hitbox will still damage that enemy, even if you are not locked onto it.

Dragon Knee[]

Dragon Knee can be performed at the end of Midair Lock-on Slash as a finisher. It deals Physical Damage and generates DP.

  • After you perform a Dragon Knee, you are set into semi-freefall status where you can't attack, but you can jump or Dragon Dash afterward to exit the freefall state.
  • Dragon Knee damages the locked-on enemy and other enemies that are within its hitbox.

Homing Shuriken[]

While in Lock-on Status, Shinobi's Shuriken turns into Homing Shuriken. They deal Holy Damage and Status Ailments depending on Shinobi's Element Contract. These shuriken hit only the enemy that it is locked onto.

  • When performing Homing Shuriken in midair, the Shinobi will hover in the air for a short moment.
    • If Shinobi rapidly uses these shuriken while airborne, he can stall in the air for a while.
  • Icon Element ThunderThunder Contract Homing Shuriken has a special property where it can hit any nearby enemy, even those that aren't locked-on.
  • The damage and number of shuriken thrown changes depending on the Elemental Contract.

Homing Giant Shuriken[]

While in Lock-on Status, Shinobi's Giant Shuriken will automatically home into the locked-on target and deal damage for multiple hits until the Shuriken disappears.

  • Any enemy that is near the Homing Giant Shuriken will get hit due to the piercing property of the Giant Shuriken.
  • The damage, amount of shuriken that can be on screen at once, and durations of it change depending on the Elemental Contract.

Dragon Kick[]

While in Lock-on Status, Shinobi can perform a Dragon Kick. When performing the Dragon Kick, Shinobi will do a backflip kick that deals Holy Damage to the locked-on enemy downward. This move costs DP.

  • After you perform a Dragon Kick, you are set into semi-freefall status where you can't attack, but you can jump or Dragon Dash afterward to exit the freefall state.
  • Dragon Kick damages the locked-on enemy and other enemies that are within its hitbox.
  • Icon Element WindWind Contract Dragon Kick will throw out Homing Shuriken during the kick.
  • Icon Element ThunderThunder Contract Dragon Kick will automatically summon clone(s) of Shinobi to do Dragon Kicks to nearby enemies.
  • Depending on the Elemental Contract, Shinobi can perform Dragon Kick immediately after initiating Lock-on Status, or it is restricted as a finisher for Midair Lock-on Slash.

Dragon Meteor[]

While in Lock-on Status, Shinobi can perform a Dragon Meteor attack. When performing the Dragon Meteor, Shinobi will rise in the air, then crash down with an axe kick that descends until Shinobi touches the ground. This attack deals Holy Damage. Unlike Dragon Kick, Dragon Meteor will not automatically hit the target that is locked-onto. Instead, Shinobi needs to maneuver to hit the enemy to deal damage. This move costs DP.

  • During the start-up of Dragon Meteor, Shinobi has Super Armor. Throughout the duration of the attack, the Dragon Meteor will have I-frames until he touches the ground.
    • If an enemy is moving downward while performing the Dragon Meteor, you can land multiple extra hits until the enemy touches the ground.
  • The damage of Dragon Meteor can be increased by the number of hits that each move does during Midair Lock-on Slash (Icon Element FireFire Contract does not have this feature).
  • More hits = more damage scaling. You need to do the combo in rapid succession. Otherwise, the damage scaling will be reset.
Hits for Dragon Meteor Damage Scaling per Ability
Attack Action Hits for Damage Scaling
Dragon Dash 2 hits
Midair Slashes 3 hits
Spins 7 hits
Dragon Knee 1 hit
Dragon Kick 1 hit
  • All Contracts have different Maximum Limits to the damage scaling of Dragon Meteor.
Maximum Hits for Dragon Meteor Damage Scaling per Elemental Contract
Elemental Contract Max. Limit for Damage Scaling
Icon Element PoisonPoison 21 hits
Icon Element FireFire 0 hits
Icon Element WindWind 31 hits
Icon Element ThunderThunder 41 hits
Icon Element IceIce 66 hits
  • If Shinobi lands on the ground or wall sliding during the combo, the damage scaling of Dragon Meteor will be reset.
  • Depending on the Elemental Contract, Shinobi can perform Dragon Meteor immediately after initiating Lock-on Status, or it is restricted as a finisher for Midair Lock-on Slash.
