The Shinobi (忍び Shinobi, Ninja) is the 3rd of the 6 classes in Dragon Marked For Death. He bears the Dragon Scar in his legs, allowing him to manifest Atruum to grant him enhanced evasive maneuvers as well as powerful, multi-hit aerial kicks via his Lock-on ability.

Shinobi is an agile character with overwhelming mobility, able to easily dodge attacks, lure enemy aggro away from allies, and unleash dynamic barrages. He is a great character for players looking to perform position-precise, technical, and speedy play due to his varied arsenal of Physical and Dragon Skill attacks that can generate long combos.

Shinobi has a wide variety of evasive maneuvers, which include his basic movements, basic attacks, and Dragon Skills. For every contract (except for Icon Element IceIce), Shinobi’s Dragon Dash is invincible, quickly launching him across certain distances. By successfully hitting an enemy with a Dragon Dash, Shinobi enters Lock-on Status—indicated by a crosshair highlighting the target—which significantly changes his attacks. The highlight of Shinobi’s abilities is his Midair Lock-on Slash (AKA "Spins") and all attacks related to it, allowing him to damage and juggle enemies from a distance, or get up close to them to deal double the damage.

In a party, Shinobi mainly works as an aggro-luring character and a reconnaissance character, able to run and climb through levels quickly ahead of fellow party members. He can also be DPS character depending on the way he is built. By throwing Homing Shuriken incessantly, he can manipulate the attentions of enemies towards himself, giving allies time to recover or focus less on dodging and more on damage-dealing. Overall, he pairs well with other DPS characters and high-speed characters, and can support teams with low-defense or support characters by taking advantage of aggro luring.

Shinobi’s AGI and LUC parameters grow well, but he has a deficit in VIT, making even small hits fatal for him. Throughout progression, he can be built as a Physical DPS character, a sweeping Holy damage character, etc., and his Elemental Contract greatly influences his playstyle. Skilled Shinobi players utilize his regular attacks, Lock-on Status attacks, Dragon Skill build-ups and timings, normal and Homing Shuriken throws, and precise hitbox positioning to make the most out of his attack power.

Shinobi can use simultaneously a Icon Weapon Kunai (N)Kunai and Icon Weapon Shuriken (N)Shuriken starting from Level 1. Icon Weapon Kunai (N)Kunai are for his main combat use, while Icon Weapon Shuriken (N)Shuriken are for his accompanying ranged attacks. Except for ATK and M.ATK, the stats of both Weapons total up with each other.

The Shinobi is a young Dragonblood boy who bears the power of the Astral Dragon in his legs. He had been training zealously alongside his best friend in ninjutsu since childhood, until his friend one day ran away to the kingdom of Marlayus. After hunting him down and killing him, upon his return home, he found his village destroyed.[2]
