Cavern of Torment is an endgame Quest in Dragon Marked For Death. Consisting of 120 Floors, players must defeat all the enemies of each Floor and fight Bosses at every 5th Floor to beat the challenge. At every 10 Floors, players are rewarded with chests.

Prerequisite Location Success Conditions Goal
After clearing the Quest Marked for Death, talk to Dora in the Slums, to the left of the Bar. Atruum's Den Enter a clear gate on a 10th floor Defeat increasingly stronger enemies as you venture through the depths of the cave.
You can resume your progress from every 10 floors.

Quest Notes[1][]

Time Limit[]

  • The time limit is 25 minutes in singleplayer and 15 minutes in multiplayer.
  • Only Floor B111F to B120F has a slightly longer time limit: 35 minutes in singleplayer and 20 minutes in multiplayer.

Quest Gameplay[]

  • Defeat all enemies on the Floor → Take the warp gate to the next level → Defeat all enemies on the floor, repeat.
  • Enemy waves will spawn 2 times from the 31st Floor and 3 times from the 61st Floor.
    • The total number of appearances per Floor is increased accordingly.
    • For each Floor with a final digit of "7", there are more difficult Common Enemies to fight.
  • The 5th Floor of each level (from 5, 15, 25) has a Midboss and the 10th Floor of each level (from 10, 20, 30) has a Boss.
    • Floors with the last digit of "5" and "0" are treated as Boss areas, so negative Status Ailments disappear upon entry.

Quest Level[]

  • The Quest Level ("Q.Lv") is equal to the level of the Floor(s) at that time.
  • Common Enemy levels are randomly determined from Q.Lv -2 to +2, and Bosses from Q.Lv +5 to +6.

Unique Enemies[]

  • On Floor B91 to B100, you can see special variants of Common Enemies.
  • On Floor B101F to B110F, you can see Common Enemies exclusive to Cavern of Torment.

Completion and Rewards[]

  • You will receive 2 treasure chests upon clearing the 10th Floor of each level.
  • There will also be 2 teleporters: 1 for continuing to the next level and 1 for completing the Quest.
  • In addition, you will get the benefit of +15 minutes to the timer and a refilled Retry Gauge.
  • If the Retry Gauge hits 0 and you fail the Quest, you will not be able to bring back any of the rewards, so it is important to know when to quit.
  • Once you return to the Bar, you can retry at any time from the first level up to the highest level you were able to clear.
    • For example, if you returned from the 50th Floor, then you can initiate the Quest from the 1st, 11th, 21st, 31st, 41s, and 51st Floors.

The following table shows the maximum amount of Experience Points (XP) and Gold earned as well as the Time Limits (in minutes) for both singleplayer and multiplayer scenarios per Q.Lv. The table is sortable using the buttons on the headers.

Data for the multiplayer XP gain can be found by using the Recruit Party option for Open Matching.
